Dr. Alexander J. Dr. Makowski earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and specializes in the use of advanced data science, machine learning, and analytical instrumentation for developing healthcare diagnostics and data models. Dr. Makowski’s work has ranged from improved medical diagnostics for the care of our nation’s veterans to the safe manufacture of pharmaceuticals, foods, beverages, and chemicals, yielding 14 peer reviewed journal articles, dozens of international conference presentations, invited talks and awards. Leveraging his knowledge of both biomedicine and engineering as it applies to medical safety and good manufacturing practices, he now serves as Chief Scientist at Sage Analytics, helping the cannabis supply chain optimize their process for consumer safety and economic efficiency. more
