Maintaining Hope & Business Amid Trying Times

A note from the editor at Cannabis Tech.
Before becoming a freelance cannabis journalist, Kristina Etter spent 20 years in corporate IT with a niche in mobile technology. Today, she combines her love of technology with a passion for the cannabis industry as the Editorial Content…

Without question, we are facing one of our most challenging moments in the history of humankind. Regardless of nationality, race, religion, or sex, no one will be left untouched by this unprecedented moment. Likewise, regardless of industry, no one will go unscathed through this economic downturn brought on by a world pandemic.

But, as we have done so many times before, in times of trial, humanity will evolve. Lives will change, but life will go on. By force of nature, we must now question all processes, refine our efficiencies, and seek out new ideas. Now, is the moment when the divisiveness of politics, the competition of capitalism, and selfishness must be replaced with unity, generosity, and self-less-ness. While life as we know it is sure to change, how we move forward is entirely up to us.

As deemed by the state of California, cannabis is an essential medicine for hundreds of thousands, if not millions of individuals. For those who depend on cannabinoid therapy for what ails them, the cannabis industry must continue to grow, the research must continue to find answers, and the technology to do both must continue to be created.

Although none of us have been unaffected by the anxiety of these uncertain times, know that we, at Cannabis Tech, are doing our best to continue business as usual, bringing you the latest news in the science, technology, and research supporting the cannabis industry. In other words, we still have work to do.

To all of our readers, sheltering in place, self-quarantining, or merely practicing social-distancing by staying at home, take care, be vigilant, and stay strong – we will overcome.
